Connecting the FM indoor an-
tenna
The FM indoor antenna is for indoor use only.
Move the antenna in various directions until
the clearest signal is received. Fix it with push
pins in the position with the least distortion.

Connecting the FM outdoor
antenna
If clear signals cannot be received using only
the enclosed FM indoor antenna, connect an
outdoor FM antenna as needed.
Be sure that the outdoor FM antenna is posi-
tioned as follows:
• Keep the antenna away from noise
sources, such as neon signs and busy
roads.
• Do not position it near power lines, etc.
This is very dangerous.

Remote control connections
Cassette tape decks and MD recorder that are
equipped with an Onkyo
jack can be
operated using the remote control included
with this unit.
To enable remote control operation of other
components, connect the remote control ca-
ble as shown at the left.
Note:
• To enable proper remote control opera-
tion, both the
cables and the audio
cables must be connected to the units.
• This unit’s remote control cannot be used
to control Onkyo turntables.
• An
