RDS reception is possible only in areas where
RDS broadcasts are available.

What is RDS?
Many FM stations now transmit RDS signals
which give additional information. RDS pro-
vides you with various services so that (for
example) you can choose a station broadcast-
ing your favourite category of music, or other
information.

Note:
In some cases, the characters displayed on the
display of the CR-185X may not be exactly
the same as the ones broadcast by the radio
station. If strange characters appear in the
display, it is because characters are being
received that cannot be correctly displayed by
the CR-185X. They do not indicate a mal-
function of the unit.

PS:Program Service Name

When an RDS station broadcasting PS
information is received, the name of the
station will be displayed instead of the
frequency.

Selecting an RDS station

Set the FM band.

• When an RDS station is received, the

RDS indicator will light up.

• When the PS information is received, the

PS information will displayed instead of
the frequency.
