3-1 Connecting to the UPS main unit
• When expansion battery units are connected, the charging time is increased by 16 hours
for each expansion unit.
• Refer to the UPS Instruction Manual for information on the backup time when expansion
units are connected.
Connect the battery unit to the UPS.
Caution

When connecting the unit, turn off the power to the UPS main unit and pull
out the power supply cable.

Before connecting, check that the overcurrent protection switch on the rear of the
unit is OFF. In factory default setting, the overcurrent protection switch has a
cover and the switch is OFF.
2.
Remove the expansion battery connector cover on the rear of the UPS. To
remove it, remove the 2 screws on the expansion battery connector cover.
