POWER SUPPLY
The unit can be operated with mains voltage and for mobile use via two rechargeable batteries.
Mains Operation
Connect the device to the mains with the power cable supplied. In order to avoid hum, only connect this
device with "clean power" i.e. connect sound devices to one AC circuit and lighting effects, dimmerpacks etc.
to a separate AC circuit.
When operating the unit via the mains, the automatic charging for the rechargeable batteries is always active
(the CHARGE indicator lights) even if the unit is switched off. To prevent unnecessary power consumption,
always disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if the unit is not used for a longer period.
Rechargeable Battery Operation
For battery operation, two batteries (12 V, 5 Ah) are required. The batteries must be inserted in the battery
compartment and connected in parallel.
Step 1:
Remove the battery cover and the reaining bracket underneath with a fitting screwdriver.
Step 2:
Insert a battery one the left and right side.
Step 3:
Connect the red core to the right battery’s positive pole.
Step 4:
Connect the black core to the left battery’s negative pole.
Step 5:
Interconnect both batteries with the blue core.
Step 6:
Replace the reaining bracket and the battery cover.
Prior to operating the PA system off mains for the first time, the rechargeable batteries must be fully charged.
Charging time is between 7 and 9 hours. The unit may be operated during the charging procedure.
For charging the batteries, connect the unit to a power outlet via the supplied power cable. The CHARGE
indicator lights up green (charging active). When the batteries are fully loaded, the indicator goes off.
The unit features a protective circuit for charging which prevents overload of the rechargeable batteries.
However, disconnect the unit from the mains after charging. Otherwise there will be a low current
consumption even if the unit is switched off.
