As the transmission quality depends on local conditions, please observe the following items for optimum
receiving:
• maintain a line-of-sight between the microphones and receiver antennas.
• make sure the distance between the microphones and the receiver is not too long.
• make sure the reception is not disturbed by objects in the transmission path; avoid placing the
microphones and the receiver where metal or other dense materials may be present and computers or
other HF-generating equipment (min. 50 cm distance).
• make sure the batteries of the hand-held microphone are always sufficiently charged.
7
Remove the microphone’s lower part. The infrared interface, the switch for the transmitting power and
the gain control are now accessible.
8
Point the microphone’s infrared interface towards the receiver’s infrared interface (max. 30 cm
distance). Press the button ASC (IR diode flashes). Thus, the microphone and the receiver have been
set to the same channel. If the reception of the radio signal is of sufficient power, the reception indicator
RF on the receiver lights up.
9
Adjust the desired volume of the audio signal received with the POWER-VOL control. The AF audio
indicator on the receiver light up when an audio signal from the wireless microphone is received.
10
If necessary, the transmitting power can be adjusted on the wireless microphone with the H/L selector
switch: position H = high power for a long range, yet reduced battery life, position L = reduced range for
a long battery life.
11
The gain can be adjusted with the GAIN control on the wireless microphone. If the volume of the
microphone signal is too high and the signal is distorted, turn back the control with a small screwdriver.
If the volume of the signal is too low, however, a poor signal-to-noise ratio results; advance the control
accordingly.
12
With the control MUTE LEVEL on the receiver, adjust the threshold value for response of the
interference suppression. The interference suppression will mute the receiver during pauses in speech
or vocals when interfering signals are received and their levels are below the threshold value adjusted.
Adjust a high threshold value when the reception is good and a low value when the distance between
the transmitter and the receiver is long.
