5.2 Placing the receiver

Place the receiver on a plane surface and put the antennas in a vertical position. For best transmission
quality place the receiver at the height of the microphones and maintain a line-of-sight between the devices.
Make sure the reception is not interfered with objects in the transmission path or other radio transmitters.
Avoid obstacles between the devices such as metal, dense materials, computers or other HF-generating
equipment.

5.3 Connecting the receiver

Connect the receiver to the subsequent unit (e.g. mixer, amplifier):

  •  Use the balanced XLR outputs "BAL OUT A" and "BAL OUT B" for connection to balanced microphone

inputs.

  • Use the unbalanced 6.3 mm jack "MIX OUT" for the master signal of both receiving channels, for

connection to a microphone input or a highly sensitive line input via the supplied connection cable.

Finally, connect the power supply unit to the power input of the receiver and the mains plug to a mains
socket. Use the receiver only with the supplied power unit. Always disconnect the mains connector
when you wish to change connections, move the unit to a different place or if it is not used for a longer
period.

6. OPERATION

Switch on the receiver with the POWER switch. The power indicator lights up.

To switch on the microphones, set the individual sliding switch to its upper position “ON”. The power
indicator shortly lights up.
After switching on the microphones, a radio connection to the receiver is set up. The reception
indicators RF-A and RF-B on the receiver indicate that a connection exists to the corresponding
microphone.

Switch on the following audio unit or advance the respective fader on the mixer. Speak into the
microphones and match the output level of the receiver to the input of the following unit with the volume
controls. The AF-A and AF-B indicators on the receiver light up when an audio signal from the
corresponding microphone is received.

To mute a microphone during operation, set the sliding switch to its center position “MUTE”. Then no
sound will be transmitted.

To switch off the microphones, set the individual sliding switch to its lower position “OFF”.

After operation, switch off the receiver with the POWER switch. The power indicator extinguishes.
