After switching on, the dynamic measuring mode is set to sound levels changing fast. The display indicates
„FAST“ (fig. 1). For measuring sound levels changing slowly, press the RECORD/FAST/SLOW button until
the display indicates “SLOW” (fig. 2).

After switching on, weighting filter A is selected for measuring the sound level in accordance with the
auditory sensation of the human ear. The display indicates “A” (fig. 1). Press the A/C/CLEAR button to
select. filter „C“ for physical sound level measurement. The display indicates “C” (fig. 2).

To determine the maximum level occurring, press the MAX/CLOCK button. The display indicates „MAX“.
Now the level value of the highest volume occurring after pressing MAX/CLOCK will be held. Press
MAX/CLOCK again to deactivate the function.
