6. OPERATION
1. Switch on the device via the power switch. The power indicator lights up orange. After operation, switch
off the unit again via the power switch.
2. Switch on the connected units, last of all, the units which are connected to the outputs.
3. Select the operating mode:
• To apply the input signal A to the OUTPUTS 1 to 4 and the input signal B to OUTPUTS 4 to 8, the button
STEREO/MONO must be unlocked. The
SD-28
operates in the 2/4 stereo mode.
• To apply the input signal A to all outputs, lock the button STEREO/MONO. The
SD-28
operates in the
1/8 mono mode.
4. Use the controls LEVEL 1 to 8 to individually adjust the levels for the outputs.
7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Disconnect from mains before starting maintenance operation!

We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Please use a soft lint-free and moistened cloth. Never use
alcohol or solvents!
There are no serviceable parts inside the device except for the fuse. Maintenance and service operations are
only to be carried out by authorized dealers.
7.1 Replacing the fuse
If the fine-wire fuse of the device fuses, only replace the fuse by a fuse of same type and rating.
Before replacing the fuse, unplug mains lead.
Procedure:
Step 1:
Open the fuseholder on the rear panel with a fitting screwdriver.
Step 2:
Remove the old fuse from the fuseholder.
Step 3:
Install the new fuse in the fuseholder.
Step 4:
Replace the fuseholder in the housing.
Should you need any spare parts, please use genuine parts.
If the power supply cable of this device becomes damaged, it has to be replaced by a special power supply
cable available at your dealer.
