4. DESCRIPTION

4.1 Features

Microphone Line Mixer, 8 channels

The

 OMNITRONIC MLM-81 

is a 8-channel mixer, for mixing units with line output (e.g. CD players,

tape decks, tuners) and microphones to a mono output channel. Hence, the MLM-81 is suitable e.g. as pre-
mixer for a microphone group (chorus, drums, etc.) or as mixer in PA systems.

• For mixing up to 8 mono input signals to 1 mono output
• 8 mic/line channels with separate level and tone controls and signal LEDs
• Each channel with balanced XLR mic input and unbalanced 6.3 mm (1/4") jack input
• Each mic input with optional 12 V phantom power via dip switches
• Master level control; master out via balanced 6.3 mm (1/4") jack
• Feed-through output (independent of master control) for connecting a further MLM-81
• Each line input can be converted internally to a line output
• 19" dimensions for rack installation, 1 U

The

 MLM-81

 is designed for professional application. The connectors are located on the rear panel; the

operating elements are on the front panel. Channels 1 to 8 are identical.

4.2 Front panel

1. POWER ON/OFF

Press this button, to turn on the 

MLM-81

.

2. POWER LED

The power indicator lights up when the 

MLM-81 

is powered on.

3. MASTER LEVEL CONTROL

Volume control MASTER LEVEL for adjusting the level at the output MAIN OUT on the rear panel.

4. TONE CONTROL

Determines the ration of highs and lows.

5. LEVEL CONTROL

Adjusts the part of the respective channel of the overall signal at the output MAIN OUT.

6. SIGNAL LED

This indicator lights up when a input signal is available at the respective channel.
