If the red LED blinks twice or is out of sequence from the green LED, it is an
indication of an open thermocouple input (MWTC-D).
On the MWTC-D, when turning on the unit, if the red LED blinks once, it means
record only. If the red LED blinks twice, it means record & wireless together. If
the red LED does not blink, it means wireless only.

The red indicator light marked “TX” on the front of the receiver will blink each
time the receiver receives incoming data during USB programming and also
when data is received from one of your transmitters.
