during corn cutting, which is a maximum noise situation. The
recording have been made by the Institute for Agricultural
Mechanization of the National Research Institute.
Objects such as ropes, wire, cables, chains, etc., may get tangled with the
rotating elements of the cutting system and be ejected at a high speed, causing
situations of danger for the operator and accompanying personnel. Ensure that
the cutters do not come into contact with these types of object.
If wire or similar materials get tangled up with the rotor, try and free it
manually (wearing safety gloves) or with the aid of shears. Do not try and
undertake the operation inverting the sense of the rotation.
Be very careful when undertaking the shredding operations on sloping land.
The machine could cause swaying that may cause the tractor to overturn,
causing a risk of serious injury or death to the operator. Do not remain and do
not allow anyone to remain in the machine rotation and oscillation area.
Ensure that there is nobody in the machine oscillation area, before activating
the rotor or eventual hydraulic movement device.
Do not allow anyone to climb onto the tractor of the machine. Do not undertake
any operations with persons in the vicinity of the machine.
Do not allow anybody to come near, especially children.
Regularly inspect the machine, inspect the general state of the nuts and bolts,
check for worn or broken parts, bent or broken cables, connections that are
loose or with excessive play. Ensure that all the pivots are adequately
tightened.
Always keep the machine clean and free of objects. Always immediately clean
away stains of oil or other inflammable materials to avoid the risk of fire.
Maintenance negligence may cause serious injury.
Do not continue to use the machine in the even that a cutter is lost or worn
causing vibrations. Consult the instructions booklet at the relative chapter and
arrange to replace. Always replace a cutter at the same time as the opposite one
on the tractor.
