The backpack is only compatible with SteerROVER scanners manufactured after the
spring of 2015.
To install and use the backpack
1.
Allow the SteerROVER scanner to pivot exposing the inside of the left drive
module, and then slide the dovetail nuts of the backpack into the accessory
dovetail groove (see Figure 4-137 on page 194).

Tighten the two backpack screws using the supplied 3 mm hex driver (see
Figure 4-138 on page 195).
