Olivia Burton uses high quality plating methods. It is the
nature of plating that it can corrode and wear off over
time - especially if it comes into contact with perfumes
or body creams.
We recommend removing your watch when applying
perfume and body cream, taking care to ensure any contact
is avoided. Plating can fade depending on wear and the
amount of care taken.
Plating can also be affected by many natural components
such as acidity in the air and natural moisture of the skin, so
it is not something we are able to cover.
Plating is not covered under warranty.
If you would like your watch to be reconditioned some
independent jewellers will offer this service.
PLATING
ENGLISH
Our watch batteries are standard batteries. The average
life for a watch battery is 12 months. Changing a battery
without the correct tools can damage the metal and delicate
parts in the watch.
We recommend using a reputable jeweller for this service.
Please do not attempt to open the case back yourself as this
can invalidate the warranty. Our watches are supplied with a
battery saver on the crown. This needs to be removed from
the crown and the crown pushed in to activate the battery.
BATTERIES
Variation in the colour and texture of your leather strap
is perfectly normal. This is a normal characteristic of
tanned leather.
Over time the leather may darken and change in colour.
This is partly due to the oils from your skin and exposure
to sunlight. To retain the colour of your leather strap for
as long as possible, we recommend keeping it away from
intense sunlight, heat and humidity.
Due to the nature of leather, colours may transfer.
Exposure to water, oil and makeup may also stain your
leather strap.
Straps, metal bracelets and clasps are not covered by
the warranty.
LEATHER STRAPS
A selection of our watch dials are crafted from mother of
pearl or contain similar iridescent materials. For this reason,
there will be natural variations in colours, patterns and
textures in some of our dials.
These variations are perfectly normal and make your watch
completely one of a kind.
DIALS
We recommend visiting a professional jeweller or returning
to your place of purchase to adjust your bracelet strap.
Resizing our bracelet straps requires removing links, which
can damage the watch strap if done incorrectly.
For some models and bracelet straps, it may be possible to
purchase additional links.

CONDENSATION
If your watch experiences a sudden change in temperature
or pressure, a slight condensation may appear under the
glass of your watch. This generally disappears after a few
days if it is left alone. Please do not attempt to dry it out. If
the condensation persists, please contact your local repairs
centre for further advice.
