Maintenance
Your multifunctional copier is designed to require only minimum maintenance. However,
everyday use will give rise to the need for a number of simple care operations.
General care
Safety
Your multifunctional copier and supplies have been designed and tested to meet strict safety
requirements. These include safety agency examination and approval and compliance to
established environmental standards.
Follow all warnings and instructions marked on or supplied with the product.

The multifunctional copier is equipped with an energy saving device to conserve power
when the machine is not in use. The machine may be left on continuously.
The multifunctional copier should be operated from the type of power source indicated on
the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power available, consult your local power
company.
The multifunctional copier should be installed near the power outlet, which should be
easily accessible.

Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord.
•
Do not locate the multifunctional copier where persons will step on the cord.
The ON/OFF switch does not electrically disconnect the machine from the power
supply. To electrically disconnect the machine, you must unplug the power supply
cable from the power outlet.
Use of an extension cord or an adapter with the multifunctional copier is not
recommended or authorised.
Use
Location
For reliable multifunctional copier operation and copy quality, you should:

Place your multifunctional copier on a flat, level surface in a well-ventilated room,
positioning it near an independent power outlet and so that all its parts are easily
accessible.
– Do not place it on an unstable cart, stand or table.

Do not locate it near or over a radiator or heat register.

Do not place it in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided.

Do not use it near water, wet locations, or outdoors.
