1-5-4 Electrical problems
Problem

Poor contact in the main
motor connector terminals.
Broken main motor gear.
Defective main motor.
Defective engine PWB.
Broken scanner motor coil.
Poor contact in the scan-
ner motor connector termi-
nals.
Broken Cooling fan coil.
Poor contact in the Cool-
ing fan connector termi-
nals.
Broken feed clutch coil.
Poor contact in the feed
clutch connector terminals.
Defective engine PWB.
Measure the input voltage.
Check the contact between the power plug and the outlet.
Check the front cover.
Check for continuity. If none, replace the cord.
Check for continuity across the contacts. If none, replace the
power switch.
Check for continuity. If none, remove the cause of blowing and
replace the fuse.
Check for continuity across the contacts of switch. If none, re-
place the switch.
With AC present, check for 24 V DC at YC2-6 and 5 V DC at
YC2-1 on the power supply PWB. If none, replace the power
supply PWB.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the con-
nector cable. If none, remedy or replace the cable.
Check visually and replace the main motor if necessary.
Check if the main motor operates and replace the main motor if
necessary.
Check if YC4-9 on the engine PWB go low when the main motor
is operated. If not, replace the engine PWB.
Check for continuity across the coil. If none, replace the scanner
motor.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the con-
nector cable. If none, remedy or replace the cable.
Check for continuity across the coil. If none, replace Cooling fan.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the con-
nector cable. If none, remedy or replace the cable.
Check for continuity across the coil. If none, replace the feed
clutch.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the con-
nector cable. If none, remedy or replace the cable.
Check if YC4-1 on the engine PWB goes low when the feed
clutch is turned on. If not, replace the engine PWB.
