Replacing the Belt
WARNING
ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE SLICER FROM THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE
ATTEMPTING ANY TYPE OF MAINTENANCE TASK.
Referring to the “Tightening the Belt” section above, remove the crumb tray, swing out
the discharge table, and reduce the tension on the belt by turning the adjusting bolt on
the tightening mechanism clockwise until the belt can be slipped off from the motor
pulley. Disconnect the end of the connecting rod at the rocker by removing the two
capscrews and cap using a wrench. See the illustration below. The drive belt may now
be removed from the machine. Installation of the new belt can be accomplished by
reversing the removal procedures. Refer to the “Tightening the Belt” section when
adjusting the drive belt tension.
