SPECIAL FUNCTIONS (fig. 47)
The special functions
icon on the “Menu” page calls up the following sub-windows:
Touching the Anti-legionella
icon calls up the window for displaying/setting programmed disinfection of the domestic hot water
tank. Changing the function parameters is allowed once the Service or installer’s password has been entered.
The disinfection parameters are:
• Function mode. The function can be performed using the heat pump and the heaters in the internal unit or using the heaters
located in the domestic hot water tank.
• Cycle activation interval
• Disinfection cycle start time
• Water temperature during the disinfection cycle
• Duration of the disinfection cycle
You are reminded that with the heat pump circuit built into the internal unit, the Sherpa Aquadue can produce hot water up to
75°C without the need for electric heaters.
If during the anti-legionella cycle the disinfection temperature is reached but it is not maintained for the entire duration of the cycle
requested, the function will be repeated after 24 hours; if the second attempt also fails, the system triggers alarm A8 and will not
produce any more domestic hot water.
Setting the activation interval to 0 days will deactivate the anti-legionella function.
Running the Anti-legionella cycle is signalled on the display by the disinfection
icon and the system exits the function after
a maximum of 7 hours if for any reason the required temperature has not been reached inside the tank.
To prevent scalding if tapping off hot water during the disinfection cycle, it is advisable to install anti-scalding safety devices on
each utility or at the domestic water tank outlet.
