External air inlet
This function is only available in appliances equipped with
the optional external air inlet, which represents an exclusive
characteristic in this class of appliance.
By pressing the T8 switch for the first time, the microfan in
the external air inlet starts up and the airlock opens allowing
the air in the room to be renewed.
Do not forget that by activating the external air intake the
appliance’s cooling effect is reduced and the same happens
with its heating capacity (if it is a heat pump appliance). If
you wish to use the external air inlet for the entire operating
period it would therefore be advisable to check that the
appliance has been dimensioned with this in mind. If such is
not the case you may have to close the external air inlet
when the external temperature takes on extreme values.

Well-being function (Night)
The activation of the night function, obtainable by pressing
the T3 switch, achieves numerous results, such as (Fig. 13):
- the gradual increase in temperature when cooling has
been set,
- the gradual decrease in temperature when heating has
been set (HP models only),
- reduction in the appliance’s noise level,
- energy saving advantages.
In order to activate the night function press the T3
switch after selecting the functioning mode T4 and the
desired temperature by pressing the T7 switch. It would
be ideal to activate the night function immediately
before going to sleep.
When the appliance is set to the cooling mode, the set
temperature is maintained for an hour after the night function
has been turned on. During the following hour the set
temperature is gradually increased to 2
°
C above the originally
set value and the fan is set to a low speed. After the second
hour has passed the temperature and fan setting are not
altered again.
When the heating is on, the set temperature is maintained
for an hour after activation of the night mode. During the next
hour the set temperature is gradually lowered to 4
°
C below
the originally set value and the fan is set at low speed. When
the second hour has passed the set temperature and fan
setting are not altered once more.
The night mode is not available with the dehumidification
function.
The night mode may be turned off at any time (ideally at
awakening) by pressing the T3 switch another time. At this
stage, the temperature and fan speed settings programmed
before the night mode was activated are fixed once more.
