6. Safety
The OligoMaker X12 should be placed under a ventilated hood or similar. The waste
container should be placed under the fume hood and have a recommended
independent exhaust ventilation.
OligoMaker cannot start unless the front Lid is in place, and the Reaction Block is filled
with 12 columns.
When the tubing from the reagents are rinsed (priming), the Valve Manifold has to be
placed in the priming position with the waste tub placed below. The waste tub must be
cleaned immediately afterwards.

When replacing a broken valve, the pressure in the bottles must be off, and the Valve
Manifold has to be placed in the service holder.
