5.2 Notes for Using Microsoft Word
When you use default document formats of Word97 and later, device fonts will not work properly. To enable correct use of
device fonts, perform the following settings.

Windows 2000/XP
1. Open Microsoft Word’s Tools menu, and select Options.
2. Click the Compatibility tab, and in the Options area select the Use printer metrics to lay out document check box. Then
click the [OK] button.
3. Open Word’s File menu, and select Save to save the document.
