Status Message Help Message
Shows that the printer received invalid data,
prompting to press its ON-LINE switch to remove
this message. The message is displayed when the
printer receives an unsupported PJL command or,
with no HDD, receives a spool-group command.
Invalid Data
Press ONLINE Button

Shows that, as exceeds the number of paper sheets
that can be stapled together, paper sheets could not
be stapled by the printer. This message disappears
with the press of the ON-LINE key of the printer
(finisher-related). The CU continues displaying the
message until the ON-LINE key is pressed.
Could Not Staple. Too
Much Paper
Press ONLINE Button
–
Shows that, as exceeds a specified paper weight,
paper could not be stapled or punched by the printer.
This message is provided at detection of heavy media
that cannot be stapled or punched, or of transparency.
The message disappears with the press of the ON-
LINE key of the printer (finisher-related).
Could Not Staple/Punch.
Paper Too Thick

Shows that, as paper exceeds a specified paper
weight, the printer could not print on both sides of
the paper. This message is provided at detection of
heavy media that cannot be printed on both sides.
The message disappears with the press of the ON-
LINE key of the printer (finisher-related).
Could Not Duplex. Paper
Too Thick
Press ONLINE Button

Shows that, as being out of staples, the printer
could not perform stapling. The message
disappears with the press of the ON-LINE key of
the printer. (finisher-related).
Could Not Staple. No Staple
Press ONLINE Button

Shows that the printer requires manual paper feed,
prompting to insert manually the paper displayed
at %MEDIA_SIZEP%. The measure unit of
custom paper size conforms to a specified (menu-
set) display measure unit for MPT except where
specified from the driver of the printer, where a
printer driver specified measure unit is used. Custom
paper size is expressed as <width>x<length><unit>.
Example) 210x297 mm

between a tray media type and print data, prompting
to load paper.

A measure unit of custom paper size conforms to a
specified (menu-set) display measure unit for MPT
unless specified from the driver of the printer, where a
printer driver specified measure unit is used. Custom
paper size is expressed as <width>x<length><unit>.
Example) 210x297 mm
8.5x11.0 inches
With the press of the ON-LINE key of the printer,
only a job that caused the disagreement is printed,
the error being ignored.

Pull out the indicated tray.
Remove paper.
Load the paper size/type
indicated.
Adjust the paper guide plate
and the paper stopper.
Insert the paper tray back into
the printer.
Press the ONLINE button.
