C5500n User’s Guide

Replace a Toner Cartridge • 53

Install a Toner Cartridge

Unpack the new toner cartridge. Gently shake it

from

side to side

to loosen and distribute the toner evenly

inside the cartridge.

Remove the adhesive tape from the underside of the

cartridge.

CAUTION!

Do not touch the toner release lever until the toner

cartridge is installed in the image drum. If you do, it

will open the toner release slot and spill toner.
