Mounting Instructions

Öhlins suspension 46 UR

Your Öhlins shock absorber type 46 UR features
the followinging adjusters:

Rebound damping

Adjuster tool is inserted from top of the shock
absorber.

Spring pre-load

Adjustment made by screws om cylinder house.
Use C-spanner.

When delivered the Öhlins shock absorber is
dialed to recommended settings for the specific
brand and make of the car. If you have  changed
the setting check like this:
  The adjusters have a normal right hand tread.
Turn clockwise to fully closed. Turn counter clock-
wise to open and count the clicks until you reach
the recommended number of clicks.
  Do not use too much force, delicate sealing
surfaces can be damaged.

Attach the lower bracket to the wishbone
and preload the spring.

CAUTION!

Cylinder head with offset bracket must be turned
so the distance between the shock absorber body
and anti roll bar is maximized.

Refit the wishbone to the chassis.

CAUTION!

Make sure that the anti roll bar is absolutely
centered and not has any contact with the shock
absorber. Check on both sides. When the car is
lifted the distance between the shock absortber
and the link arm is diminutive. Make sure nothing
restricts when the car is lowered.

Press the clamp (05512-01) over the shock
absorber body.

Use screw (00429-13) and nut (00430-02)
provided to fit the brake hose bracket to the
shock absorber.

NOTE!

Make sure that all bolts are tightened to the correct torque and that nothing fouls or restricts movement
of the shock absorber when the suspension is being fully compressed or extended.
