3.3 REPLACING THE LOAD CELL (not 12001, 24001 and 35001)
The Load Cell may need to be replaced because of balance instability, or because the balance does
not calibrate or repeat, or because it is physically broken or displays an error code.
For replacing the load cell on EX12001, EX24001 and EX35001 please see section 3.4.

Load Cells are not serviceable in the field due the special tools and test conditions
required to ensure that it is working properly. No spare parts are available for the Load Cell Module.
Disassembly:
1. Open the balance
–
see Section 3.2. Verify that there is no mechanical interference, pinched
wire or bad solder connection that may be causing the load cell to appear defective.
2. Remove the Load-cell Shield by lifting vertically. Note the Top Loader models do not have a
Load-cell Shield.
3. Disconnect the two Load Cell connections at the Main PCB.
