Dear User
We are delighted that you have decided in
favour of compression stockings from Ofa
Bamberg and thank you for the trust shown
in our products. Please take a moment to
read the following product information care-
fully. To achieve optimal effi cacy for your
compression therapy!
Please note
Only wear medical compression stockings
after consulting your physician. By wear-
ing your stockings on a daily basis and by
undergoing regular medical check-ups you
will ensure the success of your treatment!
The stockings should be dispensed by trained
specialist personnel. Your specialist medical
supplier will also advise you on how to put
on your compression stockings correctly.
Should acute leg pain or skin irritation occur
while wearing the stockings, see your physi-
cian without delay. We check our products
on the basis of a comprehensive quality
control programme. Should you still have
grounds for complaint, please consult your
specialist supplier. Do not repair any dam-
age yourself, but return the stocking to the
specialist supplier you bought it from. Fiber
pilling that can form due to friction with
other clothing does not reduce the stocking’s
quality.
Taking care of your stockings
The product is suitable for immediate use.
Our recommendation: wash before wearing
for the fi rst time. Wash the stockings sepa-
rately with a mild detergent without fabric
softener (eg “Ofa Clean Special Detergent)
at a maximum temperature of 40° C and
rinse them well. This may be followed by a
gentle spin cycle at low speed but do not
wring them out. Air dry your stockings or
use the delicates setting on the dryer but
do not put them on the radiator or in direct
sunlight. Never iron your stockings. To retain
the medical effi cacy of your stockings, do
not use chemical detergents, petrol or fabric
softener. These substances attack the knit-
ted fabric. Compression stockings are to a
large extent resistant to oils and creams but
should not be in contact with ointments.
Stockings with silicon grip tops should in
general not be in contact with solvents, oint-
ments and moisturizing washing lotions and
body cream. The adhesiveness of the grip
tops can otherwise be permanently adversely
affected. Store the stockings in a dry place
out of the sun and away from heat, if pos-
sible in their original packaging.
