Vacuum oil-priming pump OSP4000

2.1 The OSP4000 suction unit is intended for priming liquid lubricants and other non-aggressive
and not highly flammable fluids.
2.2 The pump is not suitable for:
• liquids with temperatures above 30°C
• liquids that might harm unit materials
• flammable liquids with an ignition point below 55°C
• very tough, clogging or residue-forming liquids, which cannot be completely removed
or flushed out of the unit.
2.3 Any technical modifications to the unit or any application the unit is not intended for,
will exclude the manufacturer’s liability for resulting damages.

Application
3.1 While pumping, air is moved out of the tank. This air can be mixed with gases. Therefore,
make sure to wear suitable protective clothing and face masks when dealing with hazardous
liquids. Before using flammable liquids, make sure that there are no ignition sources in the near
and that your workplace is well-aired at all times.
3.2 Operate, transport and store the unit in vertical position only, never horizontally. Store or
transport the unit only when it is pressureless. Empty the unit directly after use.
3.3 Always watch the vacuum gauge while pumping. The displayed vacuum may not be higher
than -0.7 bar.
3.4 Check all components for perfect condition regularly. Do not use the unit in case damages
are suspected.
3.5 Replace damaged unit components only by original spare parts. In case of any repair or
maintenance tasks, the unit must be empty and pressureless.

Safety warnings
4.1 Check the unit for any damages and leakage. Make sure that the pump sleeve (U) is seated on
the pump (P) and is pushed up all the way to the thread.
4.2 Close the ball valve (K) completely. The lever has to be in transverse direction. Depressurise
the unit to -0.7 bar.
4.3 Connect suction hose S with the oil pipe to be sucked empty by means of SK screw joint, prefe-
rably at the oil filter.
4.4 Open all shut-off valves at the oil pipe system. Then open the ball valve (K).
4.5 If the depressurisation in the unit is not sufficient, repressurising is still possible while
operating the unit. CAUTION: the maximum filling capacity of the tank is 4 litres. If more, li-
quid might leak from the tank.
4.6 For draining, unscrew the pump from the tank and dispose the liquid into a suitable collecting
vessel.
