• The grounding plug is a safety feature and will only fit into the proper grounding-type

power outlet. If you are unable to insert the plug into an outlet, contact a qualified
electrician to have a suitable outlet installed.

• Unplug the puncher before moving the machine or whenever the machine is not in

use for an extended period of time.

• Only an approved service engineer is authorized to install the machine.
• Only connect the machine to a mains power supply of the correct voltage with a good

earth connection. The correct machine voltage is shown on the label at the power
supply input on the rear of the machine. If the machine is connected to the wrong
supply, the warranty is voided.

• Do only maintenance procedures that are included in the user manual.
• There are NO user-serviceable parts inside the machine in order to avoid potential

personal injury and/or damage to property or the machine itself.

• Do not alter the plug of the power cord assembly.
• Do not operate the puncher if the machine has a damaged power supply cord or plug.

Do not operate the machine after any malfunction. Do not operate the machine in
case of liquid spills, or if the machine has been damaged in any other way.

• Do not overload electrical outlets beyond their capacity. To do so may result in fire

or electrical shock.

• Do not remove screws, hardware or covers, unless you are told to in the user manual.
• Do not change fuses before the machine is disconnected from the main power supply.
• Do not modify the machine. A modified machine is not safe to operate. The product

warranty is voided if you modify the machine.

• Do not change or adjust the safety interlock switches fitted to the machine.
• Do not use the machine if the machine makes unusual noises. Turn off the machine.

Disconnect the machine from the main power supply. Call your service engineer.

• Do not attempt to service the machine yourself. Contact an authorized service repre-

sentative for any required repairs or major maintenance for your machine.

Mains connection

iXDP: at the back of the module, at the right-hand side of the place where the mains cable
enters the machine.

Cleaning

• You can use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior of the machine.
• Do not use detergents or solvents. Detergents and solvents can damage he machine.

Power cord assembly (only applicable to the machines rated 230 V, 50/60 Hz,
and located in the European Union)

Warning:

When you select a detachable line cord for use with your machine, always follow these
precautions.
