Installing the Driver & Software
Make sure that you have completed the instructions from Step 1 “Setting Up
the Machine” on pages 4 - 7.

Make sure that the Network board is
installed into the machine. (See "Optional
accessories" in Chapter 15 of the User's
Guide.)

Switch off and unplug the machine from the
AC outlet and disconnect it from your
Macintosh
®
if you already connected an
interface cable.

Turn on your Macintosh
®
.

Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your CD-
ROM drive.

Double-click the
Start Here
icon to install
the printer and scanner drivers. Follow the
on-screen instructions.

After the installation is completed, restart
your Macintosh
®
.

Connect the network interface cable to the
printer, and then connect it to a free port on
your hub.

Turn on the machine by plugging in the
power cord. Turn the power switch on.

Open the
Chooser
from the
Apple
menu.
