12. Always examine appliance, cord and plug after use. If
the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, his service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
13. The electrical installation must comply with the current
legislation concerning additional protection in the form
of a residual current device (RCD with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30 mA). Check with your
installer.
14. The appliance is for domestic use only.
15. If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended
or if it is not handled in accordance with the instruction
manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will
rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other
things are not covered by the warranty.
Before use
Before you use the appliance for the first time, read the
instruction manual carefully and save it for future use.
Use
Make sure that your hair is completely dry and comb is
thoroughly. If your hair is very long or thick, it would make
it easier if you use hair clips to separate the hair.
Plug the appliance to a wall outlet. Switch on the appliance
by pushing the switch on the handle to I; the signal lamp
round the switch will be on. If you also want to activate the
ionising, push the button to the ION-marking and the blue
ION lamp will be on. Place the appliance on a heat-resistant
support during heating. The appliance will be ready for use
after about 30 seconds.
