kettle – and slightly press the upper rim of the filter to make it engage. It is
very important tat the lime filter is cleaned before it is all dressed in lime, which
will prevent the water from passing through the filter and seep along the sides
at the lid, which may cause scalds.
Descaling and cleaning
Clean the kettle at regular intervals for scale and be aware of the following:
• Only boil the necessary amount of water – to save current. Empty the kettle
after each use. This will reduce the amount of scale, and coffee and tee,
brewed on fresh water, have a better taste.
• Check the status of scale often. We suggest that you, once a week,
put ordinary, colourless household vinegar in the kettle just to cover the
bottom. Leave the vinegar in the kettle for a few hours, pour it out and rinse
carefully before use.
• If there is scale at the edge of the kettle, use one of the ordinary descaling
means – such as e.g. citric acid. It is extremely important to carefully follow
the instructions of the product and that the product is poured out after the
duration of action and that the water used for the first couple of boiling
after descaling is not used. Another possibility is to fill the kettle half way
up with water from the tap and add the juice of one lemon. Bring the
mixture to the boiling point and leave it for 15 minutes. Let the mixture boil
thee times and leave it for 15 minutes each time. Now empty the kettle and
rinse it thoroughly.
• If there is still a lot of scale left on the heating unit, descale the kettle again
and make sure to descale regularly in the future.
• The descaling process is accelerated by heating the liquid to about 50-
60°C.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use sharp objects for descaling/cleaning of the heating unit at the
bottom of the kettle. If you do not descale the kettle at regular intervals, the
kettle will be damaged. Such damage will not be covered by the warranty.
The exterior of the kettle can be wiped with a soft cloth dampened in a
detergent. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth or paper towel. Do not use scouring
powder or other aggressive detergents that may scratch the surface of the
kettle. Do not put the kettle or the base in the dishwasher.
