9. If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or
is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual,
the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the
user. Any damages to the product or other things are not
covered by the warranty.
Before use
Before the personal scale is taken into use for the first time,
please read this instruction manual thoroughly and keep it for
future use.
Please note that all electronic equipment are sensitive,
including electronic scales. This means that various conditions
may influence weighing, e.g. temperature swings and moving
the around. Inaccuracies may occur if the scale is cold. The
scale consequently functions most accurately at normal
room temperature. It is important that the scale is allowed to
‘acclimatize’ for 24 hours before it is used for the first time.
Electronic noise from other units such as mobile phones, small
transmitters, and certain microwave ovens may influence
weighing.
Important
Remove the plastic slip from the battery compartment
underneath the scale to activate the batteries. Set the scale for
kg, stones, (st/lb) or British pounds (lb) by pressing the round
button located underneath the scale marked (kg/st/lb) until the
display shows requested unit. The scale is now activated and
set.
The scale must be reset before it is used for the first time, or
if it has been moved. If the scale is not reset according to the
instructions above, weighing errors will almost definitely occur.
