Automatic stand-by function
Pictures 16-17
The styling tongs automatically set the switch (b) to stand-by mode 40 minutes
after last activated as a safety precaution and to save energy. This is indicated
by the temperature indicators flashing (see picture 16). If you want to use the
styling tongs, turn off the tongs using the switch (b) and restart (see picture
17).
Ionisation generator
The styling tongs are equipped with an ionisation generator which is activated
automatically when the tongs are switched on. This feature gives hair extra
shine and also prevents static electricity. A soft crackling can be heard from
the styling tongs, which is normal.
Lock function
The styling tongs have a practical lock function which makes it easier to take
with you. Activate the lock function by pressing the plates together and push
the lock button on the underside of the tongs to the right. To unlock, press the
plates together and push the button in the opposite direction so that the plates
are released.
Cleaning and maintenance
•
Switch off the styling tongs by pressing the OFF button until the display
turns off. Then unplug the tongs and allow them to cool on a heat resistant
surface before cleaning.
•
Note that the use of chemicals may damage the exterior of the styling
tongs.
•
Ensure that the styling tongs are kept out of the reach of children. The
styling tongs reach very high temperatures when in use, and therefore take
a long time to cool down.
•
The styling tongs and cord must not be immersed in water or other liquids
and must not come into direct contact with water.
•
Make sure that water does not get into the casing!
•
Wipe the exterior of the styling tongs and the tongs themselves with a
damp cloth. Wipe with a dry cloth.
•
Make sure that the styling tongs have cooled completely and are dry before
putting them away.
•
Store the styling tongs in a dry, safe place out of the reach of children after
use.
Do not wrap the cord around the styling tongs, as this may cause abnormal
strain, with a risk of the cord breaking.
