defrosting (defrost)
This function was designed to first defrost the bread and then have it toasted, which prolongs
the toasting cycle a little. Put the frozen bread into the toaster and set the toasting cycle on
the rotary button. At the lowest step the bread will only be defrosted, but at a higher step, the
bread will furthermore be toasted. Depress the lever and then press the ”defrost”-button, and
the control lamp will be on.

The toaster is for indoor use only and must not be handled with wet or humid hands.
Be aware that the wires of the heating stretch individually when the toaster is switched on
and that the red colouring will look differently. This is quite normal and has no effect on the
result of the toasting.
Winding of the cord
Please note that the toaster comprises a cord winding device in the bottom, which makes it
easy to store when not in use.
Tips
The result of the toasting depends among other things on the temperature of the bread. If
the bread is at room temperature, the toasting cycle will be shorter than for bread that are
kept in the fridge.
The dampness of the bread will also affect the result of the toasting. Fresh bread from the
bakery will often have a higher degree of dampness than bread from the supermarket. For
most bread the toasting can be done in one operation, but very fresh bread may need to be
toasted twice.
cleaning and maintenance
Make sure the toaster is cold; that the lever is in its upper position and that the plug has been
taken out of the outlet before cleaning the toaster.
Bread crumps etc. drop into the crump tray at the bottom of the toaster. Pull out the crump
tray and clean it with a brush or similar before pushing it back into the toaster. Wipe the
outer faces with a damp cloth and polish with a try, soft cloth. Do not use scouring powder or
aggressive detergents which may scratch the surface of the appliance.
