OPERATION

MOUNTING THE QUICK-RELEASE
PLATE TO THE CAMERA

The quick-release plate has
a 1/4-20 screw that fits most
cameras.

1. Loosen the quick release

knob by turning it
counterclockwise.

2. Press and hold the safety

lock and slide the quick-
release plate off the head.

Note: The quick-release plate will
slide off in only one direction.

3.Align the mounting screw

with the threaded socket on
the base of the camera.

4. Use a slotted screwdriver or a

coin to tighten the screw into
the camera’s socket.

Note: If a 3/8-inch mounting

screw is needed, attach a 1/4 to

3/8 adapter bushing to the 3/8-16

socket.

Warning: Some manufacturers’

plates do not meet our

specifications and may not lock

your equipment securely in the

Oben quick-release clamp. If your

camera and lens plates are not

made by Oben, make sure to test
them to ensure compatibility

.

Video Head Operation

The AT/CT-3565 tripod and TVH-
108 video head come assembled.
During normal operation, the
head will occasionally have to
be removed in order to adjust the
tripod.

MOUNTING THE VIDEO HEAD

When returning the video head to
the tripod, follow these steps:

1. Tighten all the knobs on the

head.

2. Align the video head socket

with the tripod mounting screw.

3. Rotate the head clockwise onto

the tripod, and tighten it by
hand. To prevent damage to the
head and mounting screw, do
not overtighten.
