How to proceed:

1. Screw the adapter onto the pump.
– Ensure that the O-ring is correctly
seated.
2. Screw the unit onto the adapter.
– When fitting, ensure that the arrow on
the cover and the outlet of the unit
point in the direction of the water flow.
3. Connect the unit to the downstream line.
N O T E
Ensure that all connection lines are not
leaking at all, as leaking lines can impair
the functionality of the system and lead to
damage.
•
Use a suitable sealant to seal the
threaded portions of the lines, and the
connection to the pump.
•
Overtightening of plastic screw connec-
tions can lead to damage. Avoid ap-
plying excessive force.

Prior to starting work:
•
Ensure that the power plugs of the
pump and Automatic Switch are discon-
nected.
On completion of the work:
•
Restore all the prerequisites for start-
up.
N O T E
The lines are pressurised.
Damage due to leaking water.
Prior to starting work:
•
Open a water fixture/water withdrawal
point to depressurise the system.
On completion of the work:
Restore all the prerequisites for start-up.
Start-up of the device
It is necessary to fill the pump and expel
the air from the suction line before using it
for the first time. It can take several
minutes to expel air from the suction line.
How to proceed:
•
Completely fill the pump and suction
line. (

1. Connect the power plug of the pump to
the socket of the ProMax Garden Auto-
matic Switch.
2. Insert the power plug into the socket.
– The indicator lamp
ON
is lit green.
– The unit is now operational.
3. Switch on the pump and press the but-
ton
START PUMP
on the ProMax Gar-
den Automatic Switch.
– The unit activates the pump for ap-
prox. 15 seconds.
4. When the pump switches off automati-
cally, open the highest water withdrawal
point/water fixture.
5. The unit switches the pump on again.
– If the water flows out evenly then
start-up is completed and the water
withdrawal point/water fixture can be
closed again.
N O T E
If no water is pumped:
•
Allow the pump to run longer than the
time specified by the ProMax Garden
Automatic Switch. For this, hold down
the button Start Pump until the pump
priming process is completed and water
is pumped.
