Installation as a mounted light
The Lunaqua 2002 pond light can be used either as a floating or a mounted light
under water. In order to use the Lunaqua 2002 as a mounted light, the following
installation steps are necessary (see illustrations):
1. Depending on the desired height, slide up to three connecting pieces
(3)
over
the connecting cable
(2)
. The narrower end of the connecting piece
(3)
goes on
first.
Caution! Do not pull the connecting cable
(2)
during assembly!
2. Fit the first connecting piece
(3)
to the host connection
(1)
of the pond light. Then
fit the other connecting pieces
(3)
.
3. Pull the connecting cable
(2)
through the opening in the middle of the base plate
(4)
and then fit the connecting piece
(3)
and the base plate
(4)
together.
4. Feed the connecting cable
(2)
through the strain relief
(5)
on the underside of
the base plate
(4)
and press it into the cable groove
(6)
(see illustration).
Start-up
Mounted light
1. Connect the safety transformer in a dry place that is not going to flood. The
distance between the safety transformer and the edge of the pond must be at
least 2 m.
2. Check that there is a watertight seal between the lamp casing and the cover.
3. Install the assembled pond light so that it is completely submerged in water.
Screw the base plate to the bottom if this is solid, or weigh it down with stones
to prevent it from floating up.
4. Lay the connecting cable and connect it with the safety transformer. Your pond
light is now operational.
Floating light
1. Connect the safety transformer in a dry place that is not going to flood. The
distance between the safety transformer and the edge of the pond must be at
least 2 m..
2. Check that there is a watertight seal between the lamp casing and the cover.
3. Place the pond light on the surface of the water with the cable at the bottom.
4. Form a loop with the connecting cable near the bottom of the pond and weigh
it down with a stone. Note that the water-level can change (e.g. if it rains).
The length of the connecting cable between light and loop should be based on
the highest water-level.
5. Lay the connecting cable and connect it with the safety transformer. Your pond
light is now operational.
