Safety guidelines
Electrical connection
-
For your own safety, contact an electrician if you have any questions or
problems!
-
Electrical installations near garden ponds and swimming pools must comply
with international and national installation guidelines.
-
The safety transformer must be supplied with a measured current not greater
than 30mA via a fault current protection switch (FI or RCD).
-
The pond light must only be operated with the safety transformer with which it
is supplied, in accordance with VDE 0551 IEC-742 / EN 60742.
-
The electrical data of the supply grid must correspond to the data on the type
label of the safety transformer.
-
The wattage of the installed lamp must not exceed the wattage of the transformer
as indicated on the type label.
-
The transformer is designed for use in the open and for an ambient temperature
of -10°C to + 25°C. Do not expose the transformer to direct sunlight.
-
The pond light is designed for use in pond water within a temperature range of
+4°C to +35°C.
-
Never use a halogen lamp with a wattage less than 35W with the Lunaqua 2002/
35, since the halogen lamp caps have different dimensions which can lead to
problems with the contact.
-
Do not use the pond light if the connecting cables, safety transformer or pond
light appear to be defective!
-
Keep the connecting points dry!
-
Do not carry or pull the pond light or safety transformer by their connecting
cables!
-
Never open the casing of the pond light unless expressly directed to do so in the
instructions.
-
The Lunaqua 2002 pond light is designed for use only with 12V low voltage.
There is danger to life if it is connected to 230V!
Installation and operation
-
Always disconnect the plugs of all devices that are in the water and of the pond
light before you carry out any work on the pond light!
-
The distance between the transformer and the edge of the pond must be at least
2 m. Position the transformer so that it won’t be flooded!
-
Before placing the pond light in the pond, check that there is a watertight seal
between the lamp casing and the cover.
