4 Transport and intermediate treatment
4.1 Transport
The Jumping Jet Rainbow Flash II is delivered in purpose-built packaging, where it should remain until it
is installed.
Upon delivery, please check for any visible damage to the packaging or to the product itself. If there is any
visible damage that would appear to effect the running of the unit, this should immediately, if possible on
the same day, be reported to the forwarder (carrier, post, railway or parcel service) and a written
acknowledgement of the reported damage should be requested. Then the manufacturer, should be
contacted, who will take the necessary steps.
4.2 Interim Storage
If the unit is not to be installed immediately, it should be covered carefully and stored safely. The Jumping
Jet Rainbow Flash II is filled with water by the manufacturer at test running. At temperatures below 0°C
the unit must be stored in a frost free location.
4.3 Handling
The unit must not suffer any shock and should not be set down roughly on the ground as this may cause
damage to the drive unit.
5 Installation
5.1 General
The unit must be set up so that there is no danger of injury to persons (e.g. through the sudden ejection
of a jet of water). The jet units must only be connected to the control panel system included. The unit is
working on standard mains supply of 1 x 230V AC/ 50Hz with a safety-low voltage unit 12V AC.
Maximum water level – see mark at the base of the unit.
Due to the weight, the unit should be carried and assembled by two people. It must never be carried or
lowered into the water basin by the cable.
The unit must be placed horizontally on a firm base.
Never operate the device with a water pressure of more than 0,5 bar.
Please follow the regulation VDE 0100 part 702.
In accordance with regulation VDE 0100 part 702, all touchable large surface areas must have a
conductive interconnection and be connected to an earth conductor.
The unit may only be run with clean water. The impurity level or sand content must not exceed 50 grams
per cubic meter (50g/m³) water. The water pH-value should be between 7,2 and 7,6. The max. chloride
content of the water may only reach 120 mg/l and the total hardness must not exceed 15°dH. The
maximum water temperature is 35°C.
Please note that the saltcontent must not exceed 4% at a water temperature of max. 20°C.
When there is a danger of frost, the unit must be removed immediately and stored in a frost-free place
(see also the manual of the Pump)
Once started it must be insured that the basic settings for the unit must remain and can not be changed
by anybody. Furthermore it must be ensured that the unit can not be damaged through lack of water.
