In the scan mode, the backlit LCD displays
both the current temperature (D) and maximum
temperature (C) in Celsius or Fahrenheit (B).
The unit will hold the last reading for 7 sec-
onds after the trigger is released; the word
HOLD appears (E). The presence of the battery
icon (A) indicates a low battery.
