Device Care and Cleaning
Cleaning
Unplug your Freedom before cleaning.
Do not submerge your device or any accessories or allow water to enter the device.
Clean the exterior of your device using a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent and water and
wipe dry. Clean the outside of the device monthly or more frequently as needed.
DO NOT
spray or soak the case or control panel.
DO NOT
use alcohol, ethylene chloride or petroleum-based cleaner on the case or power supplies.
Disinfection
Between patients, the exterior of the device and battery should be disinfected.
Clean the device as instructed above.
Per manufacturer’s instructions, disinfect exterior and battery using
either
Briallianize
Plastic Cleaner
with SofKloth, Oxycide (Ecolab) or equivalent.
Cannula Specification
The recommended maximum cannula length is seven (7) feet.
Carry Bag
The Freedom carry bag provides protection and allows you to easily take your device with you for your
daily activities. Always use your Freedom in the supplied carry bag.
The Freedom is inserted into the carry bag from the bottom zippered section of the carry bag.
Ensure that exhaust and intake ports are aligned with the open panels and access zipper is closed.
The battery can be accessed via the zipper without removing the Freedom from the carry bag. The carry
bag can be expanded for dual battery operation by utilizing the alternate zipper compartment on the
bottom.
