Reducing the Image Size (Resize)
Change FULL size (2400 x 1600 pixels) images to HALF size (1200 x 800 pixels), and further to SMALL size (720 x
480 pixels). Resizing a previously saved image when the SD memory card has run out of the storage space during
photography increases space on the memory card so that you can continue taking photographs.
The following images cannot be resized:
* SMALL image size
* Images taken with other camera
* Images taken in the multi photography mode
* Protected images
* Movies
* Images cannot be resized when the SD memory card is write-protected
Set the mode dial to the
mode.
Press the
MENU
button.
Press the
or
button to select
RESIZE
and press the button.
The
RESIZE
menu is displayed.
Press the or button to select the image and press the
ENTER
button to set the image size.
The current image size is displayed under the image.
Each press of the
ENTER
button changes the icons as follows:
: HALF size
: SMALL size
To cancel the selection, press the
ENTER
button again.
Press the
or
button to select
EXECUTE
and press the
ENTER
button.
To quit resizing, select
CANCEL
and press the
ENTER
button.
When resizing ends, the screen returns to the PLAYBACK MENU.
Note:
It is possible to reduce the size of an image. It is not possible to increase the size of an image, or to restore
size after it has been decreased.
