Using the Self-timer
When the self-timer is used, the camera automatically takes a picture after the preset time (2 or 10 seconds). This
allows you to get into the scene when taking group images.
Secure the camera to a tripod or place it on a stable surface.
Set the mode dial to the
,
or
mode.
Press the
button.
When you toggle the self-timer button, the following are displayed in order on
the LCD monitor:
[No display] setting OFF
10 seconds
2 seconds
Compose the scene.
Press the shutter button.
* The self-timer function is activated.
* The photograph is then taken after the preset time (2 or 10 seconds).
* When photographs are taken using the LCD monitor, the count down is displayed.
* To cancel the self-timer at any time, press the button.
Note:
* After an image is taken using self-timer, the self-timer mode is turned off.
* If you wish to take another image using the self-timer, repeat these steps.
