Installing new software packages
1 To get a list of all software packages in the repository, see
http://pkg.nvidia-arc.com
.
When a software package is updated:
•
The new version is added to the repository.
•
The old version is still downloadable from the repository.
2 To get a list of new software packages, if any, run:
sudo yum --disablerepo="*local*" list "nvidia*"
When you run the
yum list installed
command, the most recently installed version
of a software package is displayed in the list.
Although old versions of the software package are not displayed in the list, they are
still downloadable from the repository. For example, if you install the VCA Manager
from the repository server, the existing installation is overwritten. However, you can
still download older versions of the software packages from the repository.
3 To select and install a new package, run:
sudo yum --disablerepo="*local*" install
