22. DE-SCALE

Press the ENTER key to access the setting.
The first message appearing concerns the pos-
sibility to set water hardness:
Through the key the descaling cycle can be
accessed.

KEY FUNCTIONS
: They allow to select one of the two func-
tions.
ENTER : Allows to perform the selected function.
RESET : Return to the previous menu.
22.1 WATER HARDNESS SETTING
The water hardness may be set in French degrees,
as well as the execution alarm of the descaling cycle.
‡ When the following message appears:

Press the ENTER key to access the function.
The display will read:
Water Hardness Fr

KEY FUNCTIONS
: Increase/decrease of the water hardness
parameter.
ENTER : it returns to the previous menu saving the
data set.
RESET : Return to the previous menu without sav-
ing the data set.
The following table shows the correspondence
between the hardness set and the used water
litres, above which the message “ CARRY OUT
DESCALING “.

NOTE :
The alarm “ CARRY OUT DESCALING ” does
not interrupt the machine functioning and is
reset after having carried out the descaling cycle
together with the litre counter.
When the value set is “00”, the alarm is deacti-
vated.
22.2 DESCALING CYCLE
The automatic descaling cycle of the machine boilers
is carried out.
‡ When the following message appears:
Decalcification
Start Cycle?
By pressing the ENTER key, the descaling cycle
begins.
OPERATIONALLY:
‡ Before starting the descaling cycle, fill the tank
with water and descaling agent.
NOTE : Use at least 2 litres (0.52 gal) of solution.
‡ When the following message appears:
Decalcification
Start Cycle?
‡ Press the ENTER key to confirm.
‡ The machine starts sucking up the solution in the
tank delivering at the same time hot water from
the nozzle.
‡ The machine will show:
Decalcification
Please Wait
Once it has sucked up the first litre of solution, the
machine will stop for 5 minutes and then it will start
to suck up another litre of solution.
