16.3.4 Test Mode
The Test Mode is a
technical menu and therefore requires the user to enter the passcode “ntinet” if it had not been entered
within the last 30 minutes; see
Figure 16-17 Test Mode Menu
Burner Test
Select the burner power to be tested. If Manual Power is
selected the operator can manually adjust the power level
from the bottom-right of the screen. To stop the test, select
“
Press to Stop Test
for details.
Note
: initiating burner test automatically turns on the Boiler,
System and Zone pumps
–
there is no need to turn on a
heating demand.
Note
: the burner test is automatically cancelled if there is a
blocking error, the Outlet temperature exceeds 185°F, if the
Burner Test screen is exited, or after running for 30 minutes
Output Test
A
llows for manual operation of each of the boiler’s on/off
outputs. Set Manual Mode Activation to On before switching
the respective outputs On.
Note
: the burner is automatically switched off when the
output test is started.
Note
: the output test will run for 60 minutes or until Manual
Mode Activation is switched off
–
even if the screen is exited.
Air Purge Function
Selecting causes the controller to perform the air purge
sequence that is designed to purge air from the boiler water.
The air purge sequence cycles the circulators off and on, for a
period of 6 minutes (12 minutes for cascade systems), to help
free air pockets that may exists in the heat exchanger and
boiler piping. Press Cancel to stop the sequence and return to
normal operation.
Note
: burner operation is canceled for the duration of the air
purged sequence.
