CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the
NEMPC
and let the unit cool before cleaning.
2. Please ensure the inner pot cools completely before washing.
3. Remove the inner pot and wash with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
4. Wipe the outer housing and lid with a clean damp cloth and rinse the lid with warm water and
soap. Do not submerge in water.
5. Remove the condensation reservoir by pulling it down. Wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse
and dry thoroughly. Replace by pushing back into place.
6. Turn the lid upside down, grip the silicone gasket and pull up to remove. Clean the silicone
gasket with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Replace the gasket by pushing it
down inside the center edge of the lid. Make sure the groove in the center of the gasket is
positioned around the metal ring on the inside edge of the lid. If the gasket is not positioned
properly, the lid will not close properly and steam can escape.
7. Check periodically to ensure the silicone gasket is clean, flexible, and not cracked, loose, or
torn. If the silicone gasket is damaged, get it replaced before using the NEMPC .
8. In order to maintain good performance of your cooker, the heating plate must be cleaned
after each use. Wipe with a soft damp cloth and be sure to dry thoroughly.
9. DO NOT scratch the non-stick inner pot with any sharp object.
10. DO NOT use metal utensils during cooking. It is recommended to only use wooden or silicone
type cooking utensils to prevent scratching the surface of the inner pot.
11. NEVER use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean any of the parts.
12. Servicing or repair should only be carried out by an authorized technician.
n Storage of Cooker
Store the cooker with the lid resting upside down on the inner pot. This will protect the valves,
knobs and pressure regulator on top of the lid. If the cooker is stored with the lid sealed, stale
odors may form inside.
NOTE:
To remove odor from the inside of the lid, clean it with water and vinegar (1:1 ratio).
NOTE:
The lid may have water stains or colour change after using for the first time or after a
long period of use. This change in colour is due to the action of steam and water and
does not have any effect on the use of the multifunction electric pressure cooker, nor
is it dangerous for your health. It is perfectly safe to continue using it.
