When using the pressure cooking function:
1. The locking pin will prevent the lid from being opened when pressure inside is over
5 kPa (Kilopascal).
2. When cooking under low pressure, the unit will automatically shut off if the pressure
exceeds 35 kPa.
3. When cooking under high pressure, the unit will automatically shut off if the pressure
exceeds 70 kPa.
4. The pressure regulator knob will be forced upward to release steam/pressure when
the unit reaches 90 kPa. If this fails and the unit reaches 124 kPa, the floating valve
will be forced to release steam/pressure.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY FEATURES
WARNING:
NEVER TRY TO FORCE THE LID OPEN WHILE YOU ARE COOKING UNDER
PRESSURE, THIS CAN RESULT IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
!
NOTE:
In the event, if the 2 safety valves fail and the pressure continues to build up to
190 kPa, the suspending structure with special U-shape spring will be activated.
The inner pot will be forced down, creating a gap between the lip of the inner
pot and the silicone gasket, allowing the steam/pressure to escape. This is a
mechanism that never fails.
