START-UP AND INITIAL CAMERA CONFIGURATION
2.2. Lens mounting
Lens Mount:
1. Remove the protecting cap.
2. Attach the C/CS lens adapter “A” (not provided with the camera) if you are planning to use C
-mount
lens.
3. Attach the lens to the camera by turning it clockwise.
4. Connect the lens plug to the auto iris connector on the back of the camera.
5. If it is necessary to adjust the “back
-
focus” use plate “D” for unscrew the CS
-ring. Before the
adjustment loosen “C” screws. After the adjustment lock the CS
-
ring by tightening the “C” screws.
2.3. Starting the IP camera
To run NOVUS IP camera you have to connect it either directly to the power supply or via power
supply adapter. Next, connect the Ethernet cable between the PC or network switch and IP cameras.
After connecting power supply both LEDs on Ethernet socket should light up indicating start of the
initialization process witch takes about 45 seconds. You can then proceed to connect to the camera via
web browser.
If the connection is successfully established orange LED blinks with a frequency proportional to the
quantity of data sent. If
connection isn’t established (the network cable is disconnected) orange LED
isn’t active, or camera doesn't receive or send any data, with possible PC network settings error.
