6.1.2. NMS setup wizard
An embedded NMS Wizard is automatically started when running NMS for the first time.
Startup window is depicted below:
Checking
„
Show at start
-
up
”
launches wizard every time the NMS is started. In order to move to
the next window, please press the
„
Next
”
button.
„
Cancel
”
closes the window and opens the NMS
main window.
Depend on type of device, NMS application features:
Server:
-
processing power is mainly used to record streams from the cameras;
-
video streaming to NMS Client;
-
video display is limited;
Server / Client:
-
processing power is is used to record and display streams;
-
video streaming to NMS Client;
-
allows to display a lot amount of video streams;
Client:
-
processing power is mainly used to receive and display streams from the server;
-
No recording capabilities.
Selecting the operating mode has an impact on the fields displayed by the wizard. If you selected
Next, another window will open containing the search wizard cameras / video servers or NMS servers
connected to the subnet, the computer is running software installed NMS.
