8. Undo the 2 set screws on the buffer disc
[74F]. Remove the buffer disc.
9. Push the ribbon mandrel through to the
opposite side.

If necessary, force the ribbon mandrel
out by tapping it lightly with the plastic ham-
mer.
Assembly
To assemble the device, follow the steps in
the reverse order. Make sure to do the
following:

Mount the buffer disc [74F] with the lar-
ger chamfer pointing outwards.

Lightly grease contact surface of the
toothed belt pulley [67E] before assembly.

Mount the brake disc [74D] with the
chamfer pointing outwards.

Screw the cap [74B] and nut [74A] onto
the threaded rod till they reach the depth
noted earlier.

If a new spring [74C] has been moun-
ted, the braking torque must then be set.


page 43.

Following assembly, the belt tension
needs to be set (see below).
